2010 - 2011 School Year Recap

The 2010 - 2011 school year has begun but our club wanted to take the opportunity to thank all the students and teachers at Elmwood School for their "green" efforts last year. Last school year we accomplished many things including selling recycled Smencils, continuing our paper recycling program, continuing our "Tap & Stack" lunchroom initiative, having the "Clear Air Bus" visit our school, holding an Earth Day poetry contest, collecting gallons and gallons of pop-tops for our nation's Veterans and Ronald McDonald House charities, and sending home a "Clean Air Pledge", asking parents not to idle around our school. We can't wait to start off a new, green school year.

Go Green Comics & Wordles

This post is for the "Go Green Club Members".

Please choose one of the following activities to complete. We will be using these creations to decorate for Earth Week.

Option #1: Create a comic strip about an environmental topic (pollution, littering, recycling, etc.). Choose characters and write dialogue to convey your message. Print out your comic strip.

Option #2: Create a wordle about Earth Day. Remember, the more times you include a word in your Wordle, the bigger the word will appear.
